Memorial Day Weekend 2008

We spent Memorial Day weekend 2008 at Sand Mountain as we do every year. We had a blast... no thanks to the weather! It was cloudy cold and rainy almost the entire time! We made the best of it and still had a ton of fun! Here are a few pics to prove it! =)

We had a huge camp this year. We had a total of about 12 trailers! That made for a BIG circle and a HUGE party ! The more the merrier!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MEGAN!

Megan turned 6! (I can't believe she is 6!) My aunt had a huge birthday bash for her. We had a great time watching all the kids run around like crazy! This is the norm at my aunts house! If you are wondering why Megan looks "sweaty" they got a jump house and it was over 100 degrees! We were all pretty sweaty! All of the kids had a great time trying to beat the candy out of the PiƱata! It was an awesome day!

Make a wish...

Mother's Day 2008

We celebrated Mother's Day all weekend with both families! Saturday night we BBQ'd with my aunt and her family along with my mom, brother and Craig's parents. It was a fun night! Our mom's loved their gifts, the kids ran around like crazy as usual! Good times! I will post a few pics asap! Sunday morning we went to breakfast with Craig's mom and dad, Jennifer and Kaitlyn and Craig's grandpa Don and Uncle Donnie. After breakfast we headed out to the cemetary to wish Grandma Larsen a Happy Mother's Day and stopped by to see Travis as well.

Roxy's Home!!!

We got to pick Roxy up Saturday afternoon! Poor baby! She has about an 8" incision being held together with around 30 staples! (give or take) She is doing really well! I think she is ready for some REAL food. They have her on a white rice/cottage cheese diet. Hopefully she will be back to normal soon! She seems to think she is back to normal! So that is a good sign!!!

Roxy's Surgery... another "FOREIGN OBJECT"

We made it back from Mexico just in time. Roxy started acting funny Monday night. She wasn't eating and throwing up any water she drank. Craig was planning on taking her in to the vet Tuesday morning but she seemed to be doing better. We decided to wait and see if she was going to make a full recovery on her own (it's happened before!). She didn't. She wouldn't eat and would barely drink any water so we decided it was time to take her in. The vet kept her overnight and on IV Fluids because the poor girl was very dehydrated. The next day there was no improvement in her behavior so they decided to run some tests where they give her a dyed fluid and take xrays every 1/2 hour to 1 hour. Turns out she had a blockage in her intestines and they had to go in and do surgery immediately. She is out of surgery and doing well. They want to keep her until Saturday. =( we miss the girl but we gotta do what's best for her! We are going to visit her today and give her some loves! The Dr's say they could not tell what the object was. Whatever it was was "petrified" I am not sure if it was petrified before or after she ate it. Darn kids! We are just happy to know that she is doing better and hope this is the last foreign object we have to have removed from our dogs intestines!
