A quick but full weekend

I have to start off by saying Craig and I had an awesome weekend! Just enough relaxing but enough to keep us from getting bored LOL!
Friday night we hung out and had pizza and beer with our friends Jason and Jamie… a blast as usual!

Saturday I had my friend Amy's baby shower in the afternoon! I couldn't believe how many people were there. It was awesome and I am so happy for her and her hubby! They tried for SO LONG to get prego and their time finally came! Saturday night we had our friends Brett and Tiffany over for a little bit to watch UFC.

Sunday I woke up early and headed over to my aunts house to BABYSIT all 3 of her "monsters"! We had a great time. I made blueberry pancakes with whipped cream, we watched a couple of movies and played (or I should say "tried to play"... Foster wasn't having it! ) Uno and Scrabble. Tiffany even stopped by for a bit! Craig brought us Taco Bell for lunch and after Kim and Brian got home he took me to see "He's Just Not That Into You". I take Craig up on the offer ANYtime he mentions going to the movies. I never thought in a million years it would be HIS idea to go see this movie but it was and I was super excited. It was a cute movie… kinda long but I would totally watch it again!
Here are some pics... Foster was the only one who would let me take his pic... the other two had MAJOR BED HEAD! LOL

Foster loved my pancakes!
Foster is making music!
Tiffany also played music!

A Valentines Day Recap

Craig and I had an awesome Valentines Day! I got up and set out his card and some candy... went to Starbucks to get him a nice hot white mocha (his fave), I even made him french toast!
He got me an adorable card with what looked like Daisy when she was a puppy on it and a bottle of my FAVE wine! He took me to my favorite sushi place for lunch. We had a couple of drinks, edamame and sushi of course. It was so nice to have lunch together and beat the dinner crowd!
We decided the night before when we went to Chili's with some friends that we would have a GROUP valentines day! We went to Patty and Jose's house for carnitas! I made "VALEN-TINI'S" for the ladies. They consisted of champagne, lemon sorbet, a splash of vodka and sliced strawberries. SO GOOD! The ladies loved them. The food was amazing. We had an awesome time dancing, drinking, eating, playing rock band, etc.! I hate to say it but the night came to an abrupt halt when there was a bit of a  "confrontation" with a couple of the guys. Thank god Craig is a lover not a fighter. It wasn't him but I hope the guys can work it out and remain friends. Here are some pics of our crazy pajama party night... before the drama of course!
Patty and I kept taking pics together because we thought we didn't have any! LOL Now we have about 30!
We even cut Andrea out of this one! HAHA We thought we were so funny. It was an accident but still funny!
Just being crazy!
Then comes the tequila... they MADE me do it =)
Bottoms up
They FORCED me I tell ya!
Then the boys decided it was a good time to bust out the motorized toys.
Not so much!
***KIDS DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME***
Patty and I AGAIN! LOL
Beer and chocolate covered strawberries don't mix!
Oopsie! I cut off his head! Oh well... you get the idea ! LOL
We had an awesome time with all of our friends last night! Hope to do it again soon! Love you guys!
Now I am going to enjoy the rest of my 3 day weekend! No work tomorrow! YAY!

Here comes VDAY!

Well hello there! Hope everyone is doing well on this Tuesday before VALENTINES DAY! =) I mention Valentines because I have nothing else to talk about! We don’t have much of anything going on this weekend. I am making dinner for Valentines Day on Saturday night. I would much rather relax at home with the one I love than fight the crowds and wait hours to eat out! I am making SUSHI! I am super excited. I have attemted sushi a couple of times in the past and lets just say it tastes better than it looks. This weekend I am trying my hand at a few different rolls. A spicy tuna roll with avacado and cucumber lightly battered in tempura batter and fried! A shrimp roll with avo and cucumber also. I am not sure if I will fry this roll or tempura batter/fry the shimp before rolling them inside. Last but not least I am making a smoked salmon roll with cream cheese and avacado! Wish me luck!

The fried rolls should look something like this... but I doubt mine will! HAHA

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROXY AND DAISY!

As you know Roxy's birthday was Thursday. TODAY (Saturday) is Daisy's birthday! They are almost exactly 3 years apart to the day! This year I decided to bake them a birthday cake! It consisted of peanut butter, flour, egg, vanilla, honey and baking soda. I frosted it with a cream cheese frosting... cream cheese, cinnamon, honey and vanilla! These dogs totally devoured this cake! They would have done the same to any FOOD we put infront of them but it was so cute watching them wolf it down!
Here are the girls patiently waiting for their cake!
The cake

Daisy is ready...
And so is Roxy...
DIG IN!
Licking their chops afterward...

Roxy and Daisy seriously enjoyed their birthday cake! We secretly saved some for tomorrow!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROXY!!!!!

Today is Roxy's 6th birthday! Yep... February 5th, 2003 this adorable little yellow lab puppy was born. ***To Craig's sister's dogs Marley and Heckler I might add*** We brought her home right around my birthday in April. Probably the best present ever =) (besides Daisy 3 years later around the same time... her birthday is on Saturday!) Roxy has been a really good dog. We have had some "incidents" with her that have cost us a pretty penny. (including eating rocks and having to have them REMOVED... TWICE! We don't call her "Roxy" for nothing. Who knew the name would actually mean something??) And she is definately not like any other dog I have encountered! She doesn't really listen and she is spoiled rotten!
That being said she is worth every penny and will always be our "first born" LOL!

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY ROXY!!!! WE LOVE YOU!

The funniest joke ever!

HAHA I am still rolling... this joke is so funny I decided to post it on my blog!

Why females should avoid a girls night out after they are married...(If this
Does not make you laugh out loud, you have lost your sense of humor.)

The other night I was invited out for a night with the 'girls.' I told my husband
that I would be home by midnight, 'I promise!' Well, the hours
Passed and the margaritas went down way too easily. Around 3 a.m., a bit loaded,
I headed for home.

Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hallway started up
And cuckooed three times. Quickly, realizing my husband would probably wake up,
I cuckooed another nine times. I was really proud of myself for coming up
With such a quick-witted solution, in order to escape a possible conflict with
him.(Even when totally smashed... Three cuckoos plus nine cuckoos totals
12 cuckoos--MIDNIGHT!)

The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, I told him
"MIDNIGHT". He didn't seem pissed off in the least. Whew, I got away with that
One! Then he said 'We need a new cuckoo clock.'

When I asked him why, he said, 'Well, last night our clock cuckooed three times,
Then said, 'oh, shit.' Cuckooed four more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed
Another three times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the
Coffee table and farted.

And another one bites the dust...

I am talking about The Bachelor of course. Stephanie bit the big one. I honestly was shocked that Jason sent her home. I didn't think she would be THE ONE in the end but I really had no clue that he was sending her home last night. I thought Jillian or Naomi were going home. Never did I imagine Stephanie. She handled herself with class and said "what's meant to be will be" no tears (which makes me wonder how "in love" she really was anyway. BUT I have to say I really thought she was a sweet lady. Almost too sweet but a really big heart none the less! Hard to find. At this point I feel that Melissa and Molly will be the final two. I am leaning toward Melissa winning his heart BUT from the looks of the next episode she has some family troubles and he does think Molly is the best kisser =) We'll see!

So long Stephanie....
The final two?
I could be wrong... probably am actually! LOL Naomi or Jillian could take the cake!

What an awesome-ly busy weekend! Definitely a caloric overload but we had a blast hanging out with friends the whole time!

Friday night was great with Jason, Jamie and Aiden... they LOVED my lasagna! Always nice to hear.

Saturday was a blast watching UFC at Tatum and Steve's house. We had never been over there. It was a really nice house. The only bad part was that BJ Penn lost to G.S.P. Win some and lose some I guess.

We had a great time at Jay and Andrea's on Sunday for SUPER BOWL! I am totally not into football and niether is Craig (thank god!) but we always like to watch the Super Bowl. It's just a lot of excitement that goes along with the Super Bowl. How can you not watch? It was a pretty good game too. Kept you on your toes watching. I wasn't really rooting for either team so I wasn't disappointed for the outcome!
Here are some pics from Super Bowl Sunday!
