Roxy's Surgery... another "FOREIGN OBJECT"

We made it back from Mexico just in time. Roxy started acting funny Monday night. She wasn't eating and throwing up any water she drank. Craig was planning on taking her in to the vet Tuesday morning but she seemed to be doing better. We decided to wait and see if she was going to make a full recovery on her own (it's happened before!). She didn't. She wouldn't eat and would barely drink any water so we decided it was time to take her in. The vet kept her overnight and on IV Fluids because the poor girl was very dehydrated. The next day there was no improvement in her behavior so they decided to run some tests where they give her a dyed fluid and take xrays every 1/2 hour to 1 hour. Turns out she had a blockage in her intestines and they had to go in and do surgery immediately. She is out of surgery and doing well. They want to keep her until Saturday. =( we miss the girl but we gotta do what's best for her! We are going to visit her today and give her some loves! The Dr's say they could not tell what the object was. Whatever it was was "petrified" I am not sure if it was petrified before or after she ate it. Darn kids! We are just happy to know that she is doing better and hope this is the last foreign object we have to have removed from our dogs intestines!
