As you know, our wine trip over the weekend was an early birthday celebration for ME! My "actual" (hahahahaha) birthday isn't until April 7th, which is on a Tuesday this year. Looks like it will be about a two week celebration which is fine with me!
This weekend Craig and I will probably be busy prepping for our annual Easter trip to Sand Mountain.
Sunday my aunt is having a little BBQ in my honor! I can't wait. I love that SPRING is finally here and we can enjoy it and celebrate with a BBQ!
Tuesday... the "actual" birthday, my baby is going to take me to SUSHI! Can't wait!
Then next weekend I will REALLY get to celebrate with all of our friends and some family at Sand Mountain!

Happy Early Bday... to ME!
I have to start off by saying that nothing about my weekend disappointed! As soon as the clock hit 5 on Friday, I was OUT! I headed straight over to my aunts house... she had an early bday present for me to pick up before our wine tasting adventure on Saturday!
She got me an ADORABLE Lolita hand-painted wine glass to use for the tastings...
The glass has a yummy recipe on the bottom...
I came straight home from my aunts and tidied up the house a little and my friend Deidra arrived with her dog Molly!
We were starved and headed out the door immidiately! We went to my fave sushi spot and yes... I got the "Fried Spicy" roll. TO DIE FOR! We had a couple of beers with dinner.
I was so excited I barely slept Friday night! Talk about feeling like a little kid on Christmas Eve!
As soon as Saturday morning rolled around Deidra and I were up and running! We woke up at about 6:30am and sipped on some coffee. We wanted to be able to take our time getting ready.
Everyone began arriving around 8:30 ready to PARTY! The limo came at 9 and we were off and immediately started "celebrating". Mimosas all around! The windows were down (it was a GORGEOUS day) and we (by we I mean I) messed with people the whole way there. Waving out the window and acting crazy! LOL Hey... it's what I do.
We arrived at the first winery, Frank Family Vineyards, and began our tasting. They had some really good wines. As we were leaving the tasting room the guy pulled my friend and I aside and into another tasting room where he had us try the best cabernet I have ever had! I passed on the $85.00 bottle in hopes of finding something a little cheaper but just as good.
We stopped between wineries at a very busy deli/grocery store with a huge wine selection. After that we were off to Louis Martini. This winery was beautiful and we even got a tour of the temperature controlled storage room lined with casks. The wines here were amazing! They are known for their reds. I should have bought a bottle or two here but passed on those as well.
We had planned on going to Sterling on this trip but we were running late and ended up skipping it because we had appointments at the other two wineries. We had time to QUICKLY hit one more winery before leaving Napa, but I was in PARTY MODE and decided we should hit the grocery store and get some vodka and mixers and party all the way home. I think I had more fun in the limo than out of it!!! We had the best limo driver I could have asked for. His name was Richard and he was the nicest guy and definately got an earful of girly gossip all day. He was a trooper! Super nice guy... if and WHEN we do this again I will be making a special request for him to drive. He rocked!
I took a ton of pictures so I decided the best way to show em off would be a slideshow... enjoy!
Needless to say, my weekend was a huge calorie fest. I didn't care to think about what I was eating/drinking or how big it was going to make my A$$! LOL I am definately on DAMAGE CONTROL this week!

Happy "BLOG-O-VERSARY"
Today is my 1st Blog-A-versary. I have been blogging for a year already! I have to say that I have really come to love blogging. I can get on line and talk about whatever I want and people can take it or leave it but I think it's somewhat theraputic! Not only do I have Johnson & Johnson where I talk about what Craig and I are up to but I also have Food Junkie where I can talk about anything, vent, be happy, be sad, feel guilty about my horrible eating habits on weekends! Food Junkie has also helped me really stick to working out and holding myself accountable. On top of that, I have met some really nice "bloggers" along the way!

Crazy, busy, SHORT weekend!
Weekends just don't last as long as they should!
This weekend was a busy one... Craig and I hungout Friday night and made YUMMY grilled cheese sandwiches.
Saturday poor Craig had to work and I went shopping with PATTY to get all of the goodies for PIZZA MAKING PARTY that night. After the grocery store we were starving so we did a little HAPPY HOUR at Red Robin. We had lunch and a cocktail and headed home.
Pizza party was a blast! It was such a good idea for the kids t make their own pizzas. They had so much fun! Here are some pics of our night! (See Patty... I told you I would blog about it! LOL)

Sunday I went with my friend JAMIE to her tattoo appointment. She finally got started on one (yes just the first one) of her 3/4 SLEEVES! I am so jealous! GO JAMIE! Here is a pic...
The tattoo isn't even almost doen and it already looks AWESOME! She has about 3 more sittings scheduled out to finish it. THEN she is going to start on the other arm! Totally gave me the "itch". I *NEED* ONE! =)
Last night we just hung out, relaxed and watched some TV! I don't think either one of us were READY to work today! LOL

I can hardly contain my excitement!
Ok so I know my birthday is a little less than a month away, BUT I am super excited because me and some of my closest girlfriends are going on a LIMO GUIDED WINE TASTING TOUR in NAPA VALLEY! I have wanted to do one of these tours for SO long. Craig isn't really a wine drinker, but I love the stuff. He has never really had much interest in going tasting so I knew I would have to get some of my girls together for one. What better excuse than my BIRTHDAY???
Here are the details...
The limo picks us up at my place at 9am... we have about a 2 hour drive to Napa Valley. We are going to fully stock the limo with food and champagne. Water, soda and ice will be provided!
First stop - Sterling Vineyards
This is a self-guided tour of the grounds and then we get to taste! 5 wonderful wines by Sterling
Second stop - Frank Family Vineyards
I can't wait to hit this vineyard because we get to start our tasting with 3 "bubblies". I LOVE sparkling wine! We will also be tasting 3 other wines here.
Third Stop - Louis Martini Vineyards
Last but not least!
This vineyard is known for their red wines, which I am really excited about. I have trouble finding exactly what I like in the red catagory so this should help me! I am even more excited because this tasting begins with their sparkling wines! =)
I am really excited about the entire experience but even more excited to spend a fun-filled, relaxing, limo guided day with my girls! I can't WAIT!

Foster's 3! I can't believe it!
Well, Foster isn't actually 3 until tomorrow... his "actual birthday"! Time flies... it seems like YESTERDAY he was born! They grow up so fast!
We celebrated Foster's birthday today. He had an awesome "Cars" themed birthday party! He made OUT! He got a ton of cool "Cars" toys, had a jump house, a huge birthday cake and lots of friends and family to party with!

Wow... what a day! Now he has the whole rest of the LONG day to play with his new toys!!!
As I mentioned, today is a LONG day because the time finally changed! SPRING FORWARD! I am so happy! I have been waiting for longer days since... well since they got shorter! LOL! This means spring is right around the corner. It already seems like spring. The weather has been SO nice. I hope it stays this way!

Neglect!
I am sorry! I have totally been neglecting this blog and blowin' up FOOD JUNKIE! =)
Not really anything new going on lately. I will have a little something to post after this weekend tho! We have a friends bday dinner Friday night. Sushi, which I am SO excited about. Craig is warming up to it too. I know... it's hard to believe!
Sunday... DRUM ROLL PLEASE... FOSTER TURNS 3! YAY!!!! I can't believe that little booger is already going to be 3. Time flies when you are having fun. Never a dull moment with Foster around =)
