Gettin' Ready for HALLOWEEN WEEKEND

I am totally stoked that Halloween lands on a FRIDAY this year! We normally head up to Sand Mountain to celebrate and it's usually the weekend before or the weekend after. This year we have a HUGE group coming. I think we counted about 14 trailers. The more the merrier! YAY! Spenser, Brett and Tiffany are coming with us... so we have a full house! I am making orange and black jell-o shooters and some halloween confetti cupcakes! We are gonna get a pumpkin or two to carve! Oh and LOTS of candy for the sand duning trick or treaters! I can't wait to have some crazy pics to post! I am sure it will be a good time... always is! WE know how to PARTAY!

Lazy Weekend... for me anyway!

Our weekend consisted of… NOT MUCH! I was extremely happy about that! I made some yummy fish tacos for dinner Friday night with the help of my hubby! We sat around and watched TV and relaxed.
Craig worked for awhile on Saturday and a little on Sunday.
Saturday I went for a LONG stroll at Target for some necessities and some things that weren’t necessities… that’s what you get for STROLLING through Target with nothing better to do! Then I came home and cleaned up our mess of a house! Felt SO nice. I am still working on getting some things organized and making our house into a home. While I was “strolling” the Target store I found a really pretty painting (on clearance) of wine bottles and a wine glass. I am waiting on Craig to build me an entertainment center for our NEW TV! I found a nice one at Pottery Barn that I told him he could build for me or I could just go BUY it! We will see how that works out. So I think the will slowly come together… it’s time!
Later I made some clam chowder and mini pizzas (yes I MADE the clam chowder… eat your heart out… it even had sausage in it! MMMM). Spenser and Tiffany came over and we watched UFC and drank beer and some yummy shots. Probably too many!
Ahhh then Sunday rolled around and I did a whole lot of nothing while Craig did a little work but was home fast. I have been super bored with my hair lately so I played with it a little. Found a cute new style to change it up here or there but it took FOREVER. I will have to take a pic and post it so you can see. Then I decided to try making sushi. I just made California Rolls and they were kind of a pain but tasted REALLY good! Then I painted my toe nails BLACK (festive for halloween) and added some pretty rhinestones... who needs to pay $30+ for that???? Last but not least Craig and I ordered Baby Mama on PPV. Totally funny!
And that was our weekend!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY FRIDAY!

The weekend is finally here! I thought it would never come! I am so ready to relax and forget about all that has been going on lately. I can't let other peoples DYSFUNCTION get to me! After work I am going to have some cocktails with the girls... then head home and make yummy fish tacos for dinner! I am hoping this weekend is better than last weekend!!!!!

Sushi Anyone?

MMMM Craig and I ended up going to Kenzo (a little sushi place) last night for dinner with my mom and my brother. Craig and I aren't normally very adventerous when it comes to food (me more so than Craig) but we have been to Kenzo before. This time I ended up getting the "Fried Spicy" roll which had spicy tuna and avacado in it and it was dipped in tempura batter and fried. I am IN LOVE with this roll it was SO GOOD! Craig got the "Crunch Roll" which was deep fried shrimp and it had Panko bread crumbs on top. His was YUMMY too! The beauty of having sushi with others is that you can mix and match and try things you may not try otherwise. My mom got a "Spider Roll" that had soft shell crab in it... something I may have to order when I go back... it was SUPER good too!

Let's just say my weekend was crazy... to say the least. I am happy to say my hubby made it home safe and sound. I am so glad to have him back. I will spare you the details of my wild weekend. Let's just say some things aren't meant to be =*( and that's that. You can't change people who don't want to change. I found out the hard way that years of a special bond are pretty easy for some to throw away! Sad but true. (bad boys bad boys... whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you? LOL) It's time to move on. Forget the past and live for today.

Let's hope next weekend is better.

Hubby's Gone!

Awww my hubby left this morning for Winnemucca for his boys riding weekend at the sand! I am gonna miss him lots but I will have my girls. I can't wait to go home tonight and RELAX with the remote all to myself! Oh and the pizza ALL TO MYSELF!!!!

An ALL Girl Weekend!!!!!!!

My husband is leaving me for the weekend and I am gonna miss him a TON but I am super excited because I am having an “all girl weekend”. Not just any girls weekend… Me, my Roxy and Daisy and a little Sex in the City the movie (since I didn’t get to see it in theaters and my husband won’t watch it with me!). No dressing up... no going out! I decided I am going to whip myself up an “artisan” style pizza (yes like Round Table) and veg out w/ a glass of wine or two on Friday night. Saturday I am going get up and go to go Megan, Tyler and Cameron’s last game of the season! Then I am off to get my hair done… I will surprise you when I am done =) Wish me luck!

Ahhh how I love the all girl weekends! =) I will probably live in my sweats the entire time and LOVE it!

Exciting Weekend

Wow… what a weekend! Craig and I laid low Friday night and ordered some pizza and got ready for our big YARDSALE Saturday morning. We got rid of a lot of stuff and whatever we didn’t sell got taken to Good Will! I am SO happy to be rid of so much junk… I feel like I finally have some breathing room in my house. Sunday we woke up and Craig was supposed to work but ended up doing what he could from home and I made some french toast. YUMMY! Later on I got to work on home made LASAGNA for Grandpa Don’s birthday dinner! HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY Grandpa Don!!!! Then… (I was told it was ok to blog about this) we got some awesome news from Craig’s sister… SHE’S HAVING A BABY! YAY!!!!!! We are so excited… at least someone is having babies =) It’s about time! Kaitlyn needs a new little brother or sister! Can’t wait for the little one to get here! Looks like a late May or early June arrival!!!!

PINK OCTOBER!!!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Sadly most of us have lost or know someone who has lost a friend or family member to breast cancer. (Rest in peace Grandma… I love you and miss you everyday!) Ladies, Make sure to get yourself checked regularly! Better to be safe than sorry!

Nice Weekend!

We had such a nice weekend! Friday night I came home and didn't feel like doing much of anything! Craig and I ended up going to Round Table for dinner.... Nice because I didn't have to slave in the kitchen =) then we got some movies and had a nice cozy night IN while it was raining outside. Ahhh I have missed those nights! Saturday night we had dinner w/ some friends. Casey and Gina were in town w/ their new bundle of joy VIOLET! This was our first time meeting Violet! She is such a cutie! Too bad they live so far now! It was nice to hang out tho! Sunday we got up and I made breakfast... mmmmm egg and sausage on english muffins. Then we got out and ran some errands and later ended up with a new TV... WEIRD... how did that happen? LOL! We are both pretty stoked and got to test it out last night watching a movie! WOW what a difference! Anyone looking at a Sony Bravia... go for it! =)

The First Rain

Yay the first rain is here...
It just started sprinkling and I am loving it. I always enjoy the first rain! It makes me feel like Fall is finally here! I wasn't too happy about it at first because I had planned on having a yardsale Saturday but with a 90% chance of rain I figured it wans't going to happen. Oh well... there is always next weekend!
